I am quite sure now that often, very often, in matters concerning religion and politics a man's reasoning powers are not above the monkey's. - Mark Twain
Introduction « Result #5 on Dec 12, 2009, 2:31pm »
Hello,
A group member recently pointed out this group to me. I tend to refer to myself as simply a 'pagan' rather than anything in particular, as explaining further often ends up as a long involved story!
But in short, I am part of a Wiccan coven, but my primary interests lie within the Norse traditions. I work with Runes and Seidr, especially the High Seat rite.
I am currently in the throws of writing about the Seer traditions in Europe, focusing mostly on the work I have done within the Norse and Seidr, but also looking at the Celtic Seer sources and looking at ways to borrow practises from these.

welcome Deiniol.
come on in, if you could copy this intro and add anything else you think might be good to know in a new thread in the 'salutations' section that would be grand.
Like others, it seems, I've fallen afoul of the registration rules by attempting to join before actually introducing myself here, which serves me right for not reading stuff through properly in the first place!
My name's Deiniol. I was born in Wales, but have spent most of the subsequent twenty-six years living in England. I've been a polytheist for almost half that time, and over the past six or so I've found myself gravitating more and more towards a reconstructed Gallo-Brythonic form of worship.
I first found out about this forum when I was linked to the Brython website, and I've subsequently realised that I recognise a few of the people here from a clutch of blogs that I follow- I think I've only actually commented on megli's though. So uh, yeah. Hi there.
Oh, wow, you're all on here. Everyone I could find on blogger who used the tag 'Brythonic polytheism' lol. Thank you for all your welcomes. I've been going through a lot of the posts on here today and I'm quite excited by the high quality of the content. What have I been waiting for??
Also... I think from looking around I know people here, such as Heron and maybe some others. From my 'Alice Kyteler blog' (hi!) - is this the right place for me to have posted my self introduction? I just signed up pending approval but I'm not sure I said what I was here for in my previous post so I'll just add that. I'd like to participate in the wider British polytheistic community a bit, as I'm quite isolated other than those around my immediate hearth, down here in Tasmania. Meet others, encounter other people's inspiration, practices, ideas, share my own. I like what you guys have got going on here. Bless.

Greetings everyone, I'm Annua. I'm excited to see that this site exists. I am a British ex-pat living in Australia of half English half Welsh background. My family and I have been a Brythonic Polytheistic household for many years now, I'm looking forward to having a look around on here and touching base with others.

'Dream Garden'??? That'll be me, Rob. Glad you got here in the end. Say a proper hello in the introductions and then take your time sussing out how it all works. Then get stuck in. This is a grown up forum & gets heated from time to time. The debates can be vigorous & intense but it's always in the interest of the Brython Project. I think you're gonna like it! I certainly do.
Remember all those 24 million questions you kept asking me? This is the definitive place for the answers. There are far more qualified & knowledgeable people here than me that will hapilly answer anything, even if you might feel it a daft question.
