It was -11 this morning when we dropped my boy off at school. Main roads here in Glasgow pretty good all things considering and pavements on busy streets have also been well gritted. Side streets are dodgy though. I hope where ever you are and whatever you are doing you and yours stay warm and safe during this season of snow and ice

As the coming of the snow co-incided with me getting flu, I haven't been out of the house for a week. Looks nice though!

9 inches here with more on the way. -1 during the day tomorrow. Lucky I don't use gas to heat the house it would cost me a fortune.

Extremely busy time for me, lots of boiler breakdowns, I seem to be very popular at the minute! Done around 300 miles this week but haven't got stuck, yet!

A good few inches at home, but it's all melted at work. And, wouldn't you know it? Heavier snow for the weekend. Why couldn't it have been on a work day, so I could get an extra holiday? ;D
Two degrees in my living room. My landlady turns the heat off at night and I have no fire, etc. *brrrr*

Thanks Potia, hope you and yours are upright and warm. London is a silent ice rink, quite surreal, and although the streets are a pleasure to be in because no one else is out, no one is out because it's terrifying! Happily, my neighbours and I are looking after each other and the pub is 200 yards away.

-10 again in Glasgow this morning but reports of much lower temperatures further way from the city. We also had fog this morning - still seems to be a touch of it about now and yesterday was so blue and bright looking during the day.
Stay safe folks!

25 degrees here, which is stupidly warm for winter. Hope you're all ok. I'll be back home for a visit later this month so hopefully it'll have eased off a bit by then.

Bloody tedious from inside, I can tell you. Bloody tedious to be up at 3.15 a..m trying to fix a burst pipe! The novelty of this beautiful weather is wearing off...

Purely out of interest in practical applications of Brythonic beliefs, is there any extant evidence of some form of ritual to alleviate the harshness of winter?

I think there's some evidence that they turned to face the south and then repeatedly put one foot in front of the other - this ritual practice would sometimes continue for days or even weeks!

Our header tank froze with water pouring over the electrics. Still snowing here, but with a slight defrost at last.
