At the gathering that Francis hosted last July it was agreed by all present that more gatherings would be good, very good!
After that point Arth offered to organise a couple of gatherings for this year (but I can't find the right thread). I don't think that got sorted out though.
Lee also tried to get a bit of a gathering sorted in November in London but that fell through.
On another thread Francis has once again offered to host a gathering at Calan Mai this year (it sounds wonderful and I hope I can manage it!).
May I suggest that this thread be made a sticky (mods?) and used for posting information about forthcoming gatherings that various members are offering to host?
The chance of all of us getting to one place at the same time is slim but if there are a couple of gatherings organised a year and the load spread out among us then I think we will all benefit.
I'd also like to suggest that as RR is talking about at the Druid Network conference in November 2010 we maybe look at having a gathering during that weekend in that area so we can combine events?

Would members please indicate here if there is any interest in attending any meet-ups this year and what their preferred months would be. This would help those who may be in a position to organize such a thing, an idea as to possible numbers and if the numbers are low, then this may then be done (if required) on an informal basis through PM's.

Because I work shifts, it'll be easier just to let me know here or via PM when an event is being proposed & likely to happen, thanks

Yes I want to try and get to something this year. Timing is hard to know which is best and children can make things a touch unpredictable so I'd hesitate to say any particular month is much better than another. I guess the start of a school year is particularly bad for me and summer is easier to travel in that winter

I'd love to get to a meetup (cataracts permitting!)
Cheers, Midori

As it's now just over a month away from the possibility of gathering in Wales again I thought I'd give this thread a bump.
Francis, are you still ok to host a gathering on the first weekend in May? Is there anything in particular you would hope we would to talk about or do this time around?
Are there any others that are hoping to be there now it's closer?
Names so far are: Heron Ancestrallee Me Dreamguardian (hopefully)

I'll probably be seeing Brochfael next week & he should be there if it's still on.

Definitely still on!
I've got a couple of ideas for a focus but I wouldn't want to impose. I'd be very happy to hear other people's thoughts and what they're hoping to do over the weekend (if anyone wants to stay in the area for longer than just the weekend then that would be fine too).
I appreciate you're making the effort to come all this way - so I wouldn't want to dictate anything in a direction that wasn't what you'd hoped for?
Obviously the weather will play a role! For what it's worth the last of my lowland sheep will probably still be lambing.
My original thinking though was all about following the pattern of moving up into the hills for summer (have to go now so can't comment further just at the moment)

Moving up into the hills, and consciously following an ancient pattern sounds good.
It would also seem appropriate, given that this is one of the main festivals of the year, to make some beginnings of what we might be able to agree upon as a way of celebrating the festival in a formal way. Nothing too elaborate, but a beginning.

Sounds good. Just being together will be good especially as I've not yet met Heron face to face at all and not spent much time in the company of the rest of you

Annual leave confirmed, so I'll be there with my wife Lynne (foxglove). Looking forward to it & will be nice to meet Lee & Heron in the flesh, so to speak!
Brochfael will be there too & then he's off to Yorkshire doing a Uni research thing-er-mee-bob ;D
