Hello everybody,
I'm an American/Canadian currently in California. My religious commitments at present are both Vanatru polytheism and Nyingma Buddhism; I am not a syncretist however, more somebody who practices two different religions because I feel called to do so.
My interest in Brythonic polytheism is largely due to ancestry: my roots are, in addition to Irish and Bavarian, also English, Welsh, and Scottish, meaning I have almost certainly got a lot of ancestors who were Brythonic polytheists. Understanding the religious and moral history of my ancestors is of value to me, and I hope that I can learn more about the ancient traditions of Britain through dialogue on this forum.
Cheers! Tom

"Understanding the religious and moral history of my ancestors is of value to me, and I hope that I can learn more about the ancient traditions of Britain through dialogue on this forum."@ hrafzin Hello, I am also fairly new to this site. What I am doing: Because of studying some of the great information that I have found posted by the older members, I have decided to gather up information about myths that contain information of actions taken that do not seem right/in charter in accordance with the rest of the information about the person(s) in the myth. Also using as a guide my extensive experiential knowledge of the actual spirit actions that are indicated to be have been being portrayed as valid within the myth. In the future I may be making posts open for comments on the accuracy of my discoveries and comparative corrections to these certain myths within the historic information that I have sofar discovered, and beyond. The spirit focused corrections will be for my collection and I will consider any posts about them by me information only. These corrections involve the actual spirit workings within the myths themselves, not the historical information that I have found here. My study and notes will be in relation to the ceremonies that I believe started out as positive spirit related activities, but then over the passing of time became destructive endeavors. This would not be to the blame of the religious participants who themselves were devout in their endeavors. I believe that the blame would fall to the centralized destruction of their religious structures as a whole, possibly by the romans. Anyway it is nice to hear from a fellow *nerd. :-) *"a single-minded expert in a particular technical field."

Hello,
sorry would have said hi earlier but haven't been on in quite some time. Working retail in a tourist destination during summer doesn't leave a lot of internet time.
Enjoy.
