I rather like Harry Potter and like the fact that the books are interesting people in real magic. I'd like to see the Abracadabra manuscript and the globe showing the constellations. Here in Preston we've got our own mini Harry Potter exhibition in the reference section of the Harris Library which looks very Harry Potter with all the old books. There's quite a lot of interesting material on witchcraft which has been drawn from the Lancashire Archives such as a Latin charm to ward off evil spirits dated to 1800 from Sabden Fold and a charm from 1773 called 'Directions for Curing Cows'. And of course the books on folklore featuring our local faeries and boggarts. Plus lots of random stuff on herbalism, alchemy, gargoyles, werewolves... Call me a geek but I'm loving it Latin charm to ward off evil spirits Directions for Curing Cows Wizard's Desk in Harris Library Reference Section

That's awesome! Harry Potter was nearly banned when the books first started being released in the area where I live, specifically because of it's associations with witchcraft.
