yes the clincher was telling me i had to teach through German in the second year. That was an absolute guarantee that i would have had no free time. I couldn't even teach through Welsh yet, and that's the language I know by far the best.

Glad it worked out for the best, anyway there beer is crap but they do cook a good breakfast. *gasp* weisen beer is incredible.

Ahem! Portents and Astrology in Medieval Celtic Literature. There's a chapter on cloud-divination and druids, lots of saints' lives, a load of stuff about Antichrist, and quite a lot on Taliesin and Myrddin.
