Just a question....... you're using the Telegraph as a (reliable?) source to report Arthur Pendragon's views as relevant to 300 individuals that turned up (according to English Heritage); I know Arthur does make some school boy errors. If he did say it then it's only relevant to himself.

Arthur may be a joke academically, but when he's sober he's not a bad bloke. Media tart definitely, but I don't care.
Cheers, Midori

Cheers, Midori Someone who calls themselves "king of the druids" should know what the solstice means and when the days start to get longer. I'm sure many look up to him, he should know the basics regardless of academia. Nothing personal

nothing to do with academia, it's to do with not falling over pissed and not calling yourself with a preposterous, self-aggrandising title. I'm sure he's a good bloke, but he's also a groan-inducing absurdity. perhaps one of us should declare ourselves to be the reincarnation of Robin Hood or, better still, Brutus of Troy, and start pestering English Heritage.

Placebo? I see no evidence of *any* cause-effect relationship It's kind of how beliefs are formed... attribution... A magpie crossed my path and my back pain disappeared, therefore... I placed my gaze in the upper right and chanted "Cool green moss" and crossed the burning coals barefoot without burning, therefore... Even its proponents don't suggest that it is curative "'Misteltoe (sic) therapy is both supportive and complementary and helps to reduce the indirect effects of cancer." What do we call complementary medicine that has an evidence base?
