The Sun sails high in a neverdark sky And Mabon rides the tide of Summer
Tall are the grasses grown in the field And the Breeze sighs through them singing of Summer
The Forest's adorned with a crown of green And beneath plays the God in the glades of Summer
The harp of Maponos vibrates the air And late, in the twilight, still it's Summer. [/color][/b]

Lovely And a perfect opportunity to add to that some of us in Brython will be raising a triple toast on the evening of Sunday 20th in honour of Maponos, the summer solstice and the tribe. Please join with us if you wish to.

Well, it's the summer solstice again and while I expect we've all been thinking about it nothing has really been planned in the way of shared practice. So tonight at sunset time in Glasgow I will be raising a toast in honour of Maponus, the summer sun and solstice (very much missing up here) and the tribe. Hope some of you will be doing likewise at some stage today

So midsummer (currently of the coool and damp kind) is approaching in the UK. The solstice itself falls on Wednesday 20th June at 23.09 GMT.
As it happens I will be off work on the 20th and going on a school trip with my son. I hope to raise a toast in the evening. Will anyone else be raising a solstice toast?

So midsummer (currently of the coool and damp kind) is approaching in the UK. The solstice itself falls on Wednesday 20th June at 23.09 GMT. So it will just creep into the 21st by current clock time. But Wednesday looks the best day for my usual Midsummer day out and picnic - if only because it will be sunnier before the rains return on Thursday! Should be a good day for the school trip too. Yes I'll join you in the toast in the evening.

Owing to problems at school Rowan has been unable to go on the school trip but we've been doing things in the garden and having a restful day. I'm glad others will be joining in the toast. RR will be with me too

It will be here before we know it. Will there be another Triple Toast this year? I did one on Calan Haf. I don't know if anyone else did as well. I'll be doing another for Midsummer. I hope you all will be doing the same. After all, I got the idea from you guys, anyway. Cheers!

Good, glad to hear I won't be the only one to do so! Although the solstice will not occur until five hours later for me. I believe that is on a Friday. I'll just need to get up early and do my celebrations before work.
