IF as he states glaciation is the cause, why are there no other occurrences of bluestones elsewhere?

Brian John's enthusiasm for glaciation is understandable as he is a geologist rather than an archaeologist.
The main conclusion of the research from Nick Pearce at Aberystwyth, as I understand it, is that it establishes by petrographical analysis that the bluestones come from a particular part of the Preseli range. The rest of the paper, including the glaciation theory, considers possible explanations for the movement of the stones without coming to any firm conclusions, though it does indicate some difficulties in getting them from the original site by the often suggested land-and-sea route.
