Hello, I have a suggestion and at present am not sure whether you'll like it or whether I like it. That is, considering we're still not doing a very good job at engaging people on this forum, setting up a Facebook group. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Facebook. But it seems to be the place where a lot of people spend a good deal of their on-line time and it is very effective for advertising blogs and websites. Over half the traffic to both the Dun Brython blog and my personal blog comes from Facebook.
Groups such as The Druid Network and Pagan Federation have FB groups supplementing their websites and forums. I'm wondering if it would be worth setting a FB group with he hope of generating interest in Brythonic Polytheism, encouraging debate, sharing information and pointing folk in the direction of our blog and website. We could either run it as a 'Friends of Dun Brython' group, which is what The Druid Network do, or set up a non-affiliated group on Brythonic Polytheism. Segamoros has done this - he runs a non-affiliated group on Gaulish Polytheism.
What do you reckon?

WE do have the brython page of facebook, perhaps convert that to a group if that is possible and start posting on that about new blog posts and the like? failing that we could use the existing Brythonic polytheism group to post to the blog. i do wonder if a brand new group would struggle when other are already out there. i will look into coverting the page to a group.

I don't use Facebook myself, except passively to follow family members and keep track of my grandchildren. If others would find this useful I wouldn't be against it, but Lee's point about stretching our resources is one to bear in mind. We already have this Forum, the Web Site and the Blog. Unless it meant we grew our numbers it might be difficult to maintain another outlet.
On the other hand a lot of people do seem to look in here without posting judging by the stats given at the bottom of the page. Mostly these are guests (77 in the last 24 hours according to the current info). A few long-standing but not currently active members have also been recently listed there has having logged in. Are the guests one-off viewers or people regularly viewing the Forum without posting? Difficult to say.

@ Lee - I didn't realise Brython had a page - www.facebook.com/Brythonic/?fref=ts I'm not sure who the admin is. The only problem with a page is that only the admin can post. If it's one of us it may be worth updating the page with a link to the new blog and recent posts? Groups are better as anyone can post and they're better for debate. Although, as you mention, it may struggle with other groups. I also didn't know other groups already existed. There is already a Brythonic Polytheism group administered by someone called Chad Taylor - www.facebook.com/groups/1601585973409284/ and also a Gaulish and Brythonic Poets and Mythmakers group (!) www.facebook.com/groups/GaulishAndBrythonicMythMakers/ also administered by Chad! Not sure how active these groups are. I've just joined them. @ Heron, I don't think a Brython page/group would be too hard to maintain if it was simply adding our posts to the newsfeed. It could get busier if we were to hold discussions there though so may be better as a way of signposting folk here and to the blog? Yes, difficult to know who our visitors are! One thing I've noticed is that certain google searches link to conversations of Caer Feddwyd so some people may be coming through Google? I think I'm going to try putting a shout out to people to introduce themselves...

Chad was an active member here a while ago and is still listed as a member. Last post March 2015 by the looks of things.
PS I've messaged the page to ask who has the admin rights as I can't remember.

Thanks Potia, any news back?
The Brythonic Polytheism page is quite active so it does appear there are folk interested in Brythonic Polytheism out there. I've shared a couple of posts from Dun Brython.

Thanks Potia. Lee, do you think it's worth starting to update the Dun Brython FB page with new posts? I've tried posting in the general Brythonic Polytheism group but there only seem to be a couple of active people there.
