Hello and Happy New Year Around this time we start thinking about arranging our yearly Brython meet-up. Over the past two years the process we have used is to find out who wants to meet up then we have chosen a location somewhere in the middle of the places those people are travelling from that is on a train line and has some connection with Brythonic deities and lore. The meetings have taken place in the UK (Preston and Shrewsbury). As we've got a few new members from overseas I'd like to suggest that, so we can include everybody, we have a virtual meeting on Skype. Who would be up for that? We could also have an in-person meeting in the UK too if others are up for it? Let me know your thoughts.

I'd be up for a Skype meeting. I mean, I'd MUCH rather meet up over there, but Skype is good too.

I'm happy to join in a Skype meeting.
And an in-person meeting too if we can arrange one.

Virtual meeting would be great, more chance of making that than a face to face. Face to face so highly dependent on timing and location but would be nice to see faces again

If we are to meet face to face, it would be useful if people identify places that they could get to and back in a day so we can think about locations. For me that means Mid Wales and Borders and points north and east from Shrewsbury->e.g. Crewe/Wolverhampton/Birmingham.

@ Greg - for me the North West, North Wales and the north westerly parts of the Midlands are good. Also southern Scotland (it's way cheaper to travel north than south!).
Chester or Crewe or Shrewsbury again would be ideal. I could just about manage Wolverhampton or possibly Birmingham, but at that point the trains start getting pricey.
In relation to the on-line meeting I think the time difference between the UK and US is about 5 hours so we'd need to plan the meeting for when folks in the UK and the US are up - maybe 7pm for the UK and 2pm for the US on a weekend day? Sunday would be best for me.

As no-one but Heron has got in touch in relation to times/dates/meeting places I'll assume there isn't enough interest for these meetings to go ahead.
