Hi! My name is Alex and I'm trying to engage with the religions of my pre-Christian ancestors. I'm primarily a Hellenic polytheist (the primary Deity I worship is Athena), but my ancestors were largely from all around the British Isles and not Greece (or Italy) at all. Certainly some of them were Brythonic. Today the Neos Alexandria / Bibliotheca Alexandrina Facebook group announced its September God-of-the-Month is Epona, a Celtic/Gaulish deity. And I remembered mention of Her as Brythonic as well, so I started googling and that's how I got here. I am a poet, fantasy writer, essayist, diarist, and working on being a memoirist. When I have materials and tools for the tasks (to say nothing of time and spell slots), I spin, weave, crochet, and quilt; draw and paint; make beaded and metal-stamped jewelry. There are a whole lot more art forms I'd love to get into. I am a multiply disabled queer, genderqueer intersectional feminist activist. I call myself Celtic-American, not white, as part of my efforts to dismantle white supremacy. I have absolutely zero idea where to start with the practice of Brythonic polytheism. I'm sure there's overlap with Hellenic polytheism, but which bits and to what extent? I'm looking forward to finding out. Glad to meet you!

Hello and welcome I don't know too much about Hellenic Polytheism but do like the Greek myths and would be interested to hear more about your beliefs and practices and relationship with Athena. I also write poetry and enjoy reading fantasy. Is there anywhere we can read your work online?

Hello and welcome! I'm over in Neos Alexandria as well, although I tend to read rather than post. My primary gods are the Kemetic Netjer, but I am also interested in the Hellenic, Norse, and (obviously) Brythonic pantheons.
