OK, here's a good idea that I nicked from somewhere else ;D
I'll start by writing a short poem on a certain subject. Then, I'll say what the next poem has to be about. The next person replies with their poem on that subject, and gets to choose what the next one will be about.
Er, that was a terrible explanation, but it's quite simple really...
The poems can be in any form - epic verse, or just a simple two-liner, whatever you like.
I'll start us off in the next post.

Subject is wine making. (Guess what I was up to earlier!)
Wine making
A smart, shiny row of thick glass Each filled with an alchemists murk Topped with a rubber bung
Much loved jars Blooping in their happy row Their contents much anticipated
Fruits of the past summer Trapped between glass and airlock Transmuting, transforming, tantalising…<br> The next subject is... fire...

Arthur, my companion, my friend, my king! the time has finally come. return to your people, the need is great! we are lost along the path... your kin cannot find their way fumbling blindly in a world without faith. many have forgotten the ways of our fathers longing only for a wisp of temporary sanity! return my lord, show us the truth... honor, loyalty, purity and heart. the time for memories has ended, draw Excalibur and light the path! The next subject is...trees! Emrys

Soft breeze ripples the growing grass Blossom opens its face to the growing light And we turn our faces to the sun, The longed for sun. I see lambs in the fields Springtime embodied within them They dance on the growing grass I see the awakening of bees Dancing on the spring flowers I see the trumpets of the daffodils Silent they are, yet louder than all Crying out 'hail to the spring!' Hail to the spring!
The next topic is... bread. (yes, it's breakfast time!)
Blessings,

Honour:
What is it that keeps the back straight? The head high and eye steady? What is it that bestows pride without arrogance? Respect without weakness?
Not hard: This is honour, one of the three highest virtues.
The next subject shall be... ravens.

Sea.
Colour changing, never still, quiet sunlit dreaming, gently caressing the sand.
Tantrum tossed surf, foam blowing, berserk against the rocks in it's passion.

My riddle
Who comes only twice from the East to the West, Yet most believe she never does aught else?
Who takes the high road in the summer, And the low in the winter, While most would choose the other way?
Sunna in the East Sunna in the West - Two days only mark Autumn and Springtime.

They meet at a local pub (One with good-sized toilets) Where they get changed And cover themselves in big coats... They dress in their best robes Carry cakes and wine Have prepared everything very carefully Including a print-out of Multimap for the newbies... They arrive at the site And park carefully off the road And follow the only one who knows the way To a secluded grove... And after an hour they ask each other Whether anyone has brought a torch...
