Perhaps I should rename myself Magpie - I seem to be very good at stealing other people's ideas!
Yes, this latest game is another good idea that someone else had ;D
The idea is simply to write a triad. Could be about anything you like. In practice, they tend to end up more like the Irish triads than the Brythonic - in that they are written as 'pearls of wisdom' rather than as memory aids. But there's no reason why you couldn't compose a triad that reminded you of Brythonic tales...
Anyhow, I'll kick it off with a triad wot I wrote the other day, in praise of the coming spring.

Three things a thief will suffer; an odorous body, diseased genitalia, and loss of liberty
I wrote that a couple of days ago, not so much in praise of something more a warning not to mess with my stuff.

Oh dear - doesn't sound like a good situation. But it does sound like an effective remedy.
Three things that warm the heart
A roaring open fire, a high backed chair and a welcome cup of tea ;D
Blessings,

;D And mine - it used to be pinned up above the computer monitor. (Now it's down the back of the computer table somewhere, having fallen victim to fluffy blu-tack) Three things which cause great admiration The stirring words of an ancient bard, dazzling sword play and a large collection of heads upon ones mantlepiece

Then there's the threefold curse of Sterculinus (a Roman god but we can be little Romano-Brit sometimes can't we?): Rampant diarhoea, dog mess beneath every footstep and bird mess over all posessions.

I like that one For a few months now, I've been trying to remember an alchemical maxim that accompanies an illustration of a (blind?) man walking through a landscape with a large staff. Something about 'let nature be his guide and reason be his staff'... but I can't remember the quote, and though I've looked through every book I own, I can't find the reference. Think it was Michael Maier... if anyone can quote it for me, I'd be grateful!

Three things that make a happy stage combat teacher
1. Your students proving they can act 2. No one getting killed... 3. Getting home after the exam, collapsing on the sofa and drinking lots of tea.
What a morning... I swear I'm more stressed than the people actually taking the exam. It's been absolutely manic. And now it's over. They all passed. Some of them passed very well. And I have tea...
