Hello everybody,
I am really happy to have come across this site. I'm Ceri o'r Eidal. I'm pretty nomadic... come from North Wales but am of Irish origin, encamped at present in Northern Italy. I am a solitary pagan with druidic tendencies, but mix mainly with Wiccans due to accidents of geography and have strong personal/intellectual/spiritual ties to Brythonic culture and language. North Wales is the home of my heart but I attach myself to the land wherever I am...particularly to the wild places, the mountains and the sea.
I'm looking forward to talking with you all.
Hwyl i bawb!

I have a couple of questions about forum etiquette:
Is it generally considered OK to resurrect threads that have been untouched for a long time? While having a quick glance through past topics of discussion I've noticed several threads I'd like to contribute to, but in discussions that seem long over.
I notice that people use brief phrases in Welsh. How much Welsh is understood here? Is it good manners to use only brief greetings and phrases that would be easily understood by learners? I personally don't use particularly "correct" or literary Welsh, and I tend to write as I speak. I am a "gog" (translation: nickname for a person from North Wales, abbreviation of gogledd ) -- I use North Welsh grammar , vocabulary and pronunciation.

Hi there, Yes, please contribute to any threads you like - it's always good to have fresh input. And do feel free to start new threads too. As for Welsh, I would love to see more posts in the language, whether Northern or Southern. However, please also include an English translation - this will be invaluable for those who don't speak Cymraeg, and will also help learners. (I'd still class myself as a beginner, really - I'm reasonable at translating old poetry, but can't have a meaningful conversation )

Since I have lent my Welsh dictionary to someone I would appreciate a translation of any bits and pieces Or I might start retaliating in Anglo-saxon or Middle English... Jezreell
