Gods, i hate this sort of thing but here goes.
I use the on-line name Ank, abreviated from AnKernewek, 'cos i'm from Cornwall, but now live in the Midlands.
Would love to develop my addiction to single malts, but neither liver nor wallet can cope with my thirst.
Would like to learn Cornish, but so far have lacked the dedication to really do so.
Walking a Pagan path, trying to find something other than Wicca or the hideous Llwellyn Books.
Love to argue, a pen a few lines from time to time.
Can't sing, and don't, unless the Malt's in hand, then forget i can't.
hope that's 'bout all you need.
Croeso. Rik

Hello there East midlands or West? I'm in 'lovely' Nottingham. Lots of us here doing less obvious pagan stuff, drawn from genuine tradition and experience, so hopefully you'll find some good alternatives to the usual. Know what you mean about the malts... I've got one carefully hoarded dram of Laphroaig left, and then just have to hope that my aunt and uncle buy me another bottle at midwinter

If its the Laphroaig you after I'm your man, and for Islay, Dalwhinnie, Talisker, Tomintoul and few others besides...
Anyway back to business - welcome Ank.
It is interesting you mention 'those' books. I'm always amazed when so many people take up with them when we have so many ancient sources available now through t'internet. Dear Blackbird has brought together as good a selection as you could hope to find here on Caer Feddwyd - so have a good browse and if there is anything that tickles your intellect drag it in here so we can all have some fun with it ;-)
Blessings, Craig <o>.

I miss the sea, though I've only ever seen it while on holidays. I do love it... haven't seen the sea at all this year

How can anyone live without regular walks on the shore? Where the three elements of the brythonic world-view come together? Where Sea meets Land meets Sky?
As often as I can I walk on that shore above which Bran watched the fleet of Matholwch, King of Ireland, arrive and a great tragedy begin...
Blessings from a blessed land, Craig <o>.

I'm green eyed Used to get to the sea more often when I was little. Thing is that the nearest coast to Nottingham is Skegness and the least said about that the better...

As often as I can I walk on that shore above which Bran watched the fleet of Matholwch, King of Ireland, arrive and a great tragedy begin... Yes, I was up that way today and I had that story in mind. I followed the ysgethin valley up from Dyffryn Ardudwy and crossed at 'Pont Scethin' and back past Llyn Erddin, whose waters seemed to respond to my presence . The dry stone walling here is unusual for Wales and it's a very special landscape with the sea stretching westwards and the mountains to the north and east. And some beautiful woodland at the bottom end of the valley. Perfect! I was looking forward to seeing the neolithic cromlechs but actually got little feeling from them, though I did make friends with the wight of the great double-trunked oak tree that spreads his branches over them. A living presence!

Ah, bugger.
Circumstances beyond my control dictate that the broadband has to go, along with the 'phone line, so not even dial up access.
So, sadly, it's farwell from AnKernewek.
Shame 'cos this site is such a trove of information and kindred spirits.
Thanks for making it available and i'll try to get back at some time in the future when circumstances improve.
