I don't write a lot of poetry but this I had to write and I have to share.
The Raven and the Wolf
The Cailleach once called me She bid me take Her hand She wrapped Herself about my soul We flew across the land.
As one we danced together Sang out to call the snow We twirled 'til I was dizzy - And then She let me go.
I fell within Her winter I feared I'd lose my mind I thought of watching Raven And knew myself I'd find.
Wolf came there beside me And Raven's wings spread wide They led me then to shelter They never left my side.
I warmed with them beside me I found my soul anew I thought the dance was over. How little then I knew!
My soul was in deep water I thought I was alone. I thought they both had left me To walk the path they'd shown
But Raven's eyes watch over And Raven's wings beat strong Wolf I know will answer now The questions in my song.
The Cailleach, she called me She bid me take Her hand On Raven wings I flew there With Raven strength I land.

Thanks for sharing this Potia. Very powerful - clearly telling of a deep experience.

I love the line;
"I fell within Her winter"
A very powerful and immediate description of your experience.
There may even be a blushing Raven somewhere who should be proud of, as always, walking his talk.

Thanks. It was one of those things that almost wrote itself and has stuck in my memory too.
