Following on from the "Of Interest" thread, I've managed to thread together some form of coherent thoughts on this particular matter (well, to me anyway and hopefully to you!) and without wanting to appear to be somewhat egocentric or just plain plugging, I invite opinions from people here whom opinions I value. The piece is over 3200 words with various links so I'd suggest to make some time available to consider it as I don't think you'll understand all the points without reading it through. Therefore, I will just provide the link without creating a monster of an OP. corvusrouge.com/the-religion-of-the-soil/ RR

blimey, that actually makes sense. I think you're seriously onto something there.

blimey, that actually makes sense. Why does my relief at being understood seem somewhat tinged? I think you're seriously onto something there. Actually, so do I. The pieces fit very well up to now, and I can see this framework representing a base from which at least one other concept may have developed. RR

ah sorry that came out wrong. Of course your piece would make sense, you're very articulate. but what I meant is that it also makes sense, in a wider historical/anthropological sense. if that makes sense
