Hello everyone
Im overjoyed and very excited to have at last found a brythonic group and portal... i was begining to think i was all alone! Ive been fascinated by our ancestors all my life. Ive been searching for about the last 10 years for some kind of animistic or polytheistic way of life which will help me to reconnect with our ancestors and ancestral landscape. Im fiercly proud of my brythonic heritage and refuse to be lumped in with the anglo saxon invaders that claim our land for their own. Im not scandanavian and have no wish to be labelled english thankyou very much. Ive always called myself British.
Im looking forward to learning all i can from this forum and hopefully put forward some ideas of my own. Im from the Midlands, right on the confluence of three ancient tribes (dobunni, cornovii and corieltauvi) the tribe i connect most with is the Dobunni, i was born and grew up in dobunni territory, and ive traced my family back as far as is possible and they are all from that same area. Through circumstance however I now live amongst the Durotriges.
Im interested in archaeology especially stone circles and ancient landscapes and everything to do with nature, i need to be frequently outdoors otherwise i feel hemmed in and claustrophobic. Im drawn to Dartmoor and the mountainous regions of Wales, i love to spend time there. Im also an exponent of herbalism and incorporate it into my daily life.
Thanks for having me....Looking forward to meeting with you all
