I was reading Puhvel's Comparitive Mythology last night, and before I went to bed I was reading a bit about the divine twins.
It got me to thinking about Llew and Dylan. In the general sense of one twin dying and becoming the Lord of the dead, more specifically I started thinking about Dylan who does of course end up being killed.
In that dream I asked for help with a few weeks ago, I kept getting the impression of 'Australian' when I heard the voice tell me about the brother - more specifically 'down under' - the classic song would play in my head each time I thought about it: 'I come from a land down under' ;D Anyway, last night laying in bed (I'm a hopeless insomniac) the connection of 'down under' and the underworld, or land of the dead struck me.
Dylan, as far as I know doesn't seem to have any echos of a Lord of the Dead, but I'm wondering if there could be anything to it? I'd really appreciate anyone putting me straight if I'm roaming well into the lands of fantasy with this.

'Flickering shadows are what remain' of the character of Dylan according to Marged Haycock. He is associated with the sea, is killed by his uncle Gofannon; there's a bit about him in The Book of Taliesin and in the fourth branch of Y Mabinogi. A few lines of poetry. But nothing very definite. An attempt has been made to link him to seal legends. But there's very little to go on.
