Arthur Pendragon and his group LAW (Loyal Arthurian Warband) have put out a statement via Facebook in which he 'names and shames' those groups who have not supported wholeheartedly his campaign to have reburied cremated human remains excavated from Stonehenge and currently being analysed by Sheffield University. The statement is available at: The page describes those who oppose Arthur's stand as traitors and pseudo-Druids/Pagans. I'm very curious to know what people on here think of this posting.

I'm not sure how to comment on the statement except to say that it doesn't read incredibly well...
As to Arther Pendragon - I didn't know who he was so went off to do a google search (as you do). Does he REALLY consider himself to be THE Arthur Pendragon or is that misinformation?? The whole issue of reburials aside, I'd find it difficult to take a man who believes he's King Arthur seriously in any circumstance.

I honestly have difficulty comprehending what he is saying in his statement, other than naming and shaming people for not supporting him (and being praised for it in the comments section by people who are saying they want to stay out of "personal vendettas"). Odd, very odd.

He is sounding desperate. Reading between the lines, it's looks like he is losing support.

If Arthur believes he is reincarnation of king Arthur, then he believes in reincarnation. How can there be guardians of stonehenge if they have been reincarnated? Unless he is picking and choosing who has been reincarnated to suit his argument.

Apparently, so story goes, he used to put on raves/free-parties in a ruined castle, and his possee called him "King John". Then one day, he read a book on Arthur, and decided it suited him more, so he changed to King Arthur.
Then, presumably, after a decade of drug abuse and cult-of-personality, he figured he must actually BE King Arthur, and so changed his name. It all smacks of "wannabe" and "playacting", just like much of druidry.
