Is it worth putting pagan- on the census? I just wonder if we are making up the numbers. The word pagan is a bit meaningless these days I doubt that the government could recognise us.

we can put Pagan-Brython/brythonic and it will show up in the reports :0 i happen to know the person who has been getting the pagan dash thing sorted with the ONS and managed to get it added to the lost of terms they will count.
by putting pagan-XXX we will show that there are tens of thousands of us who share something in common in terms of our beliefs, there is a reasonable chance we will overtake Sikhs and Buddhists in terms of numbers. this allows us a bargaining chip if and when we need to deal with the government, on SACRES etc

I will be putting the pagan - Even though there are some pagans I have naff all in common with I think to have paganism in general recognised as something valid is important. If I tell people I'm a pagan it's usually followed by incomprehension, or on the odd occasion something akin to mistrust or fear, or that look that wonders if I'm a little bit weird. I think it would be good if the word pagan was associated with the word normal lol! (I'm sure my experience would be hugely different if I lived in say London, but my own experiences are all firmly small town)

I think I'll put pagan and see what happens. I'm a cynical that anything will come of it. Just seems a number crunching exercise.
I'm sure the daily mail will be pouring there poisonous venom over us.

have the form in front of me. Are we going with Pagan-Brython, or Pagan-Brythonic ? Just so we're all on the same page (otherwise they will count them seperately)

no takers? Think I'll go with Pagan-Brythonic, as Brython is a group more than a path, right? Pagan-Brythonic it is then.

Interestingly someone I know was complaining that all christian denominations are put into one box on the form, and he was going to write-in 'Quaker' rather than tick that box. I wonder if this is also an issue for the different types of Muslim or Buddhist?
