Just a quick heads up that I've changed my name, to save a bit of confusion ...

My guess is that's the artist formerly known as Firinne.

Are you able to share the reason for the change? It's a acceptance of my own nature I've been coming to for some time. Because the majority of my experience lies with things most people shrink away from, I've found myself under a lot of pressure to be different and I've been bending myself out of shape by trying to be more acceptable to others. Rather than accepting that I'm someone whose value often lies in having walked a darker path, I've been trying to hide the aspects people find difficult to deal with by wearing a mask of fluffy, ditzy cheerfulness which always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. After spending a few days at camp with that habitual ditziness making me feel like I should be wearing a hat with bells on it, I decided it's time to accept that my general thorniness and challenging nature means most people don't like to get too close to me, rather than trying to shape myself into someone more palatable but with little true value. The name change is a symbolic gesture really, of picking one of those thorns out of my own flesh and sticking it back where it should be - pointing outwards and ensuring that the people who get close enough to me to gain what they seek are the ones who seek it for the right reasons rather than those who want something easy, cheap and made in Taiwan. I'm not sure that makes any sense to anyone but me, it's a bit difficult to communicate at the moment because the realisation itself was a little overwhelming.
