Born in South Wales, I grew up playing in an ancient woodland alongside the river Taff feeling, knowing (and seeing?) that which was of the woods, river and land
My Nana knew the woods and the old ways and told me of the Tylwyth Teg and I learned about the Mabinogion at school from a wonderful teacher who taught us that the tales were more than just stories
I have always had a deep spiritual connection to the woodland and felt its distress at the industrialisation of the Merthyr Valley
Returning there in recent years I was overjoyed to see nature healing the scars on the landscape now that the last pit has closed and the valley is green again
An artist and writer in my early 50's I live in Lancashire, my work inspired by my love folklore and nature
I have started to explore Celtic Paganism, Druidry and Faerie and am really looking forward to sharing and learning

Greetings julieb, as has been mentioned, the forum is now relatively quiet but there is a lot of stuff on here for you to check out and you are free to ask questions or revive old threads if you want. RR

Hi Julie B, I think we've already met briefly on the UCLAN Pagan Society Facebook Page? Sadly this site went quiet before I joined too. There's some excellent information here though, and on Dun Brython too. If you'd like to contribute anything as an artist and / or writer (I love your profile pic!) I'm sure it would be more than welcome. I'd certainly be interested to hear about your experiences growing up in Wales and explorations of Celtic Paganism, Druidry and Faerie

Hello from a new arrival here.
I'm in Wales too, way over in the south west, close to the ferry that goes across from the Port of Pembroke to Rosslare in Ireland. I was claimed by Rhiannon, while visiting Narberth, and tasked to do her bidding, and since then felt myself drawn closer to studying the Welsh sacred texts, but progress has been slow for various reasons.
I hope we get to know each other a little better eventually.
All the best
MoonCrone - Liz
