OK, so have any of you read this book? And if so, what did you think of it?
I think it poses some very interesting and thought-provoking theories based on the early Welsh folklore and written sources.
Just curious.....

Sorry, thought you guys might be familiar with it. It was written by two guys from Chester, and has a radical retelling of the Arthur stories based on a new interpretation of the place names/people in Dark Age Wales. It is very controversial, I'll say that. Kaitlin Matthews has a whole page online designed to debunk it. Elsewhere, a Welsh MP defends it. See the link: www.newswales.co.uk/?section=Culture&F=1&id=5809At the very least, it makes for interesting reading. I definitely bought it, and have read and reread it. I have also visited many of the places they cite, and was very drawn to them (and comfortable with the authors' conclusions). Here is the info on the book. Your local library might have it: "The Keys to Avalon: The True Location of Arthur's Kingdom Revealed" by Steve Blake and Scott Lloyd Element Books Limited 2000 HB ISBN I 86204 735 9 PB ISBN I 86204 723 5 I'd definitely recommend it.

I think I have it somewhere, haven't got round to reading it yet though, which means its hiding somewhere rather than in the ever growing pile of 'to be reads'
