unfortunately i have a bit of a cold and sound very snotty. my voice is a tad crackly also. so, im thinking that recording myself is not too smart an option right now. i will have a go later tonight but if thats fails will do this during the coming week.

Lee, don't beat yourself up about it. We are just pleased someone's willing to pick this good idea up and actually do something with it. Wait until you have your full, rich, Richard Burton voice back A thing worth doing, is worth doing well... and waiting for.

Definitely - no rush on this one. After all, I hardly have the moral high ground after leaving the site without any updates for nine months

It would be best to allow your self good health before undertaking such a project, Lee. I certainly didn't mean to make you feel guilty. Cheers, Webwitch

Hi Guys! It's ages since I've posted here, but that's mainly due to a difficult and depressing work situation. I could write up approximate pronunciations in IPA phonetic script. Only useful if you've had some kind of introduction to it, but there are plenty of guides on the internet, and I have the fonts. www.phon.ucl.ac.uk/resource/tutorials.htmlThe biggest problem as far as I could see would be the transcription of "y", which varies between a sound similar to "i" as in "bit", and the "a" as in "about"

That would be fantastic, and could work well alone or as a complement to sound files If you're up for it, that would be great!

Because Craig indicated it might be shorter than pool, but longer than book; if that makes sense . Thank you both, Heron and Lee. Much appreciated. Have fun in Ludlow, Lee. Um, can I add Feddwyd to that sound list, please, Lee? Cheers, Webwitch
