I hope the start of the winter season is filled with good health and good cheer for you all - however you are choosing to celebrate

Happy Calan Gaeaf all ;D I will be celebrating in the simple fashion-food, cake, carving a scary face into a pumkin and trying to think of something to do with the actual pumkin bits

I get donated all the innards from pumpkins - I can't believe people just throw them away! Pumpkin pie is very nice, though it needs a health warning printed on the side - it contains industrial amounts of double cream ;D Pumpkin curry is excellent too, as is plain old pumpkin soup - try seasoning it with nutmeg.
btw, does anyone remember the days before pumpkins were around? We used to carve turnips and swedes (took bloody forever...)

Turnips was a little before my time, I'm afraid
Though I must say the job is easier if you get a handy bloke to do it for you ;D
