If you go and read my other post about the Red Dragon, this also applies here.
We need to be very careful when dealing with any thing otherworldly by simply translating the name into Welsh and using it freely. I don't know if I'm going to be able to get this across, but I'll try to be as clear as possible:
What we need to understand and respect is that to the Welsh (and others, but I am speaking here specifically about the Welsh), words matter. They are not to be used lightly. Especially anything that represents the symbols of their heritage and otherworldly beings. These are things to be respected.
When I recieved my medicine name it was given to me, not by the medicine woman in my group but THROUGH her. It came from them. It was an incredible gift, and an event that I will cherish always. Understand, Siaron is not my medicine name; I will not even use it except with those who where there at my naming ceremony, or in prayer.
Similarly we must tread carefully when it comes to the fae folk. They are to be respected (and, when crossed, feared). I'm sure your daughter is beautiful, so why not use "hardd"?
When we use Welsh, it shoud be done with respect. It is often referred to as "The Language of Heaven", and should be treated accordingly.

I understand what you mean Siaron,I have no intention to missuse my path name or names when referring to the fae. I go by this name now on most forums because it feels right to me,on some forums I still just use Kern.
As for my daughter yes I think she is very beautiful,is that what hardd(Harrth) means?
And I cant find the post where you are talking about the red dragon.

I just feel really strongly that we need to be careful and respectful of these things. The other post is on this board under "Cymraeg". I'm quite sure that others here wince about things I say and especially when I try out my creaky Welsh. I hope they understand that I am coming from a place of respect and a desire to learn and do better. And I guess that is the point I was trying to get across to you. Pob Bendith, Siaron
