Does anyone know if there is a CD of someone reading The Mabinogion? I think it would really help with my pronunciation of names and places to hear them spoken.

Robin Williamson has done recordings which are just fantastic. I seem to remember that Ron Hutton has also done readings - perhaps try somewhere like the OBOD bookshop to get an idea of what's out there. Otherwise, there's this animated version that was on the telly last year...

Ron Hutton recorded the Mabinogion on audio tape some years back, whether it is on cd or not I don't know, alternately ther's 'Otherworld' on another thread.

Odd. Could find neither of these anywhere on the net.

Just looked around and can't find them either - but they do exist, honest! It's worth keeping an eye out on ebay for the Robin Williamson recordings at least, I've seen them on there a few times. The OBOD site used to sell the Ronald Hutton recordings... perhaps they are just the audio equivalent of out of print now

I think Ronald's recordings are hard to find nowadays. The were published by Talking Myth Publications. To find Robin's amazing recordings, try doing a search for "pigs whisker music" it's his publishing company.

Thanks for that, Brochfael. Will write to them for the catalogue. Cheers, Webwitch
