www.proadventure.co.uk/acatalog/Hennessey_Hammocks.htmlI guess there isn't really a Brythonic or spiritual connection with these but I tried one last night and they are the future for sleeping in hilly woods in wales! Much more comfortable than you would think- I didn't believe I could sleep in a hammock but somehow these don't curve your body too much, and you can sleep on your side. You don't need to find a flat, stone free or tree free bit and they go up in a couple of minutes. They're also designed no to damage thin barked trees with wide straps that go around the trunk not cord. Only fault is that arguably they're a bit overpriced but I think for easy nights on your own in the woods they're worth it. Blessings and no commission Stephen

www.hammockheaven.co.uk/beta/Great for a relax but awful to spend a night in (I learnt by sleeping at 45 degrees with my elbow in the cup holder to stop me rolling out) Mind you it needs no trees

I just invested in one from www.cybercheckout.com/ ... ridiculously cheap, really comfortable and portable if you have a car. It's been a godsend the past week when I've been ill, instead of being stuck indoors I've been able to lie outside in the garden reading and watching the birds. I wish I'd thought of getting one sooner.

Wusses I spent years bivvying with a 12' square, oiled canvas tarp, with brass eyelets around it for cover, and an old bivvy bag for sleeping in. As for hammocks I don't see people's problem in sleeping in them, there again I am ex-Navy These days the nearest I get to camping with my poor old joints is a caravan. Such is life...
