Now is the time of winter, When ice and snow abound, And the wind howls cold through the empty trees, And the frost blankets the ground.
So light a fire ye merry men, Light and keep it bright, Burning through the darkest hours, Shining in the night.
The ground outside is growing hard, Rivers have turned to stone, A single leaf still clings to a branch, Shiv'ring all alone.
The lakes have turned to icy glass, The sky to a frosty grey, The wind howls with the wild wolves, And the night has conquered day.

Beautiful Very evocative. My favourite time of year too, I'm disappointed that we've had no snow to speak of.
