Being a outdoor person I come up with this.
The trees are the pillars that hold up the sky roof of my church The floor is a mosaic of leaves The choir is the song of the birds The rain my pagan baptism

Arth, I think you may well have a talent for liturgy, those pieces of prose that are used for specific intent.
99% of poetry that people put out in the name of 'bardic tradition' is nothing short of crap. These are completely the other end of the scale.

Hmm, yes, which end of the scale would you be, might have to think on that ... <whap> I wasn't thinking of me. I'm presently trying to encourage more people, especially nervous beginners to post their poetry here, and you come out with '99% is crap!'... thanks!

Loving your words Arthfrown! I've printed it off at the library. I didn't know how to so asked the lady on the desk and she thought they were beautiful too even the pagan baptism bit!!!

Your poems are just like you. Very wise, saying just what needs to be said without being showy about it. I like this one very much (as I have probably said before). Do we really have to wait another 35 years for the next one?!
