Do we want and need one? Is it safe to say that the horse is our symbol?

i can see why the horse would be a good one for now at least as it represents so much about brython.
that said, as time progresses and the various aelwydydd get establsihed those gods will come to be recognised.

yeah, the star horse appears on most Brythonic and Gaulish coins, from whatever tribe, so is the closest thing they/we have to a universally recognised symbol.

I rather like the horse Blackbird has as a tattoo.
Cheers, Midori

That's settled then I've kept out of this one purposely, waiting to see what the consensus would be. As someone who has belonged to the Grey Lady from an early age, I didn't want to put that forward in case it was perceived that I was pushing my own agenda. But I'm very pleased that the horse symbol is seen as appropriate by others too

oh i have seen that modern one in the flesh so to speak - it is beautiful.
saw a less than modern one yesterday near avebury - one of them on the hill is in great nick, there i another not too far away which seems to be in poor condition.
i have given some preliminary thought to the idea of spending some time going there and repairing and tidying what i can.
plans and landowner permitting - anyone else fancy making an event of it?

...plans and landowner permitting - anyone else fancy making an event of it? Sounds like a working rade to me Lee. If you made it in the Spring we could probably put a fairly good working party together. Anyone for a bit of back-breaking labour?

oh it would definately be in the spriong - as its on a hillside i would want it to be perectly dry before going and mucking about on it. slippery slope and all that.

I'm up for it, just as long as we can find a pub to lubricate the aching muscles afterwards.

How would you go about contacting the landowner? Where is it exactly?
