Many of the members of Clas Brython (if not all) will be raising a toast in honour of Brigantia, the sun and the tribe at some stage on this weekend in addition to a range of personal practices.
Some will be raising their vessels at dawn on the 1st, others at sunset on 31st or 1st. I'm intending to raise my cup at approx 8.30 pm of the evening of the 1st.
It would be good to know of others here on CF that would like to join us in raising a toast to Brigantia this weekend.

We'll be joining you. We had 4 generations raising our glasses here at the Midwinter Triple Toast, so I look forward to marking this occasion.
Are there specific words prepared to recite this time too?
BW, Moonhare.

Are there specific words prepared to recite this time too? BW, Moonhare. These words have been well received, so I offer them here: Bride of our hearth Bless this place With warmth With shelter With fire that burns for us.
Bride of our streams Of wells and water courses Asperge our land With rain With dew.
Bride of the candles Lit for your remembrance Bright be your blessings As the Sun climbs higher In his Winter rising.
Bride of our company Of links and friendship Across Brigantia, the isles Of your people: Veil us within the bounds of belonging.

Have a good toast people I won't be joining you. It would be inappropriate to call Brigantia from my location I feel. But I will be celebrating in my own way.

Had ours last night. Utterly beautiful - out in a birch forest under the moon and stars. It was wonderful - until my friend Justine accidentally set her hair on fire!

I was out in Pollok Park Sunday afternoon with some of the local pagans for a ritual and it went well. During that I made a libation of milk to Brigantia on behalf of all present using the bowl I got from Arth. It was perfect for the job and its first use Yesterday evening I thought of all of you doing sunset toasts while I was busy with chores and children and later in the evening (about 8.30) I made personal offerings and followed them with toasts. It was a good day.

It was a quiet evening and a gentle toast... I invited my wife and daughter to join me and they enjoyed the words

I had a wonderful fast-breaking - gorgeous bit of brisket (not very white, but very, very nice), yorkshires and veg, with a plate set aside for the Lady with a glass of milk. We toasted with milk too.
And so the year moves on towards Lupercalia. Goat-skins anyone? ;D

We toasted with Birch wine which I found fitting considering Birch is white.

Birch is good! I've always wanted to have a birch tree to sap for wine making
