Ok, I get no points for the unimaginative intro post title but...
I'm Nelli. And I'm really bad at intros. I've been wandering, and I use that word with due cause, on the Celtic path for a while.
Bit about me. I can trace part of my bloodline in this country back almost 1000 years, I feel connected to this land beyond words. As much as the current political climate upsets me, I cannot imagine leaving these isles. I'm interested in the traditions of Britain, in knitting, in wool, in being able to do things from scratch. I love having an idea, and seeing it grow to fruition.
I'm hoping to learn a bit here, and hopefully with learning, I will be able to make some meaningful contributions.

Hi there Great to see you here! Pretty good intro, better than anything I've ever come up with Ditto on the wool - once I've finished the current round of baby blankets, I'm going back to having another go at spinning... at which I make up in enthusiasm what I lack in skill...

I only have one bit of advice for you on spinning, Blackbird. Don't try it after half a bottle of Pimms. All you will produce is hilarity.
Seriously, I'm ok with the carding, its the spinning that kills me off.

I'm new too but I just wanted to say hi because I'm a knitter and a spinner (and I crochet) too!
