Greetings again – and thanks to those who welcomed me in my Introduction. Just to say a bit more about myself: I first came across mention of Brigit, Taliesin etc reading The White Goddess when I was 16. (Although the children’s book, The Eagle of the Ninth by Rosemary Sutcliffe had already had quite an influence on me). This led eventually to my moving to Wales. I can see the rest, more or less, as a series of arrows -> shamanic work in the Native American tradition leading me to look for something similar native to Britain -> finding OBOD -> Caitlin and John Matthews -> leading me to look for original sources and scholarly texts (especially reading Patrick Ford’s introduction to Ystoria Taliesin which was a ‘peak experience’ – and still is!) -> Celtic Reconstructionism via various lists -> leading to… something without a label. I suppose I’m a Celtic-inspired polytheist and animist but that’s a bit clumsy I can say throughout my various journeys I’ve remained a follower of Brigit so perhaps that’s enough. I’ve investigated Gaelic tradition more than the Brythonic, partly because Brigit lore is particularly Gaelic – she seems to be a shadow of her former self in Wales – and partly because most CR lists are weighted that way. So I am very much looking forward to engaging with you here on the Brythonic tradition. I have a website dedicated to Brigit: www.brigitsforge.co.uk Best Wishes, Gelli Fach

Hi Geilli Fach,
I look forward to reading your site (only had time for a quick skim so far). There's a few others here that have relationships with Brigit too.

Hello. Is there a particular area of Brigit's aegis that especially interests you?

Thanks, Dreamguardian, I've had bit of a browse and shall return (no doubt when I should be doing something else!) Lots of post of interest.
Hope you will like the website, Potia.
Robinherne - Yes, I'm particularly attracted to Brigit as poet, healer and smith - and protector of poets. Poetry was my first love and I come from 3 generations of doctors and spent most of my working life as a homoeopath so these aspects resonate with me the most. I also find the concept of the smith very powerful but have only a little hands-on experience of it (and little aptitude!)
Do you have a connection with her yourself?

Forgot to ask: why am I a boar? And why is the website down? I haven't tried it today actually but it's been unavailable for the last 2. I had been finding my way here through it but have managed without now, happily.

I had been finding my way here through it but have managed without now, happily. CF website is now back up. Not sure why it was down but I'm guessing some sort of hosting glitch. You get to be a different animal depending on how many posts you've made - it was the way the board was initially set up by Blackbird. I found it odd when I arrived here too

The animals thing is just a bit of fun Yes, the CF website was down as I'd inadvertantly let the hosting expire - no idea why the hosting company didn't send reminders out. Very annoying, especially as my business website runs on the same space! All back up again now.
