This post is particularly aimed at those who do not have access to the private Brython forum area.
The main Brython website is currently down as some of you will have noticed. We are trying to get that sorted but it's taking longer than we'd like. In the meantime we are talking in the background about how we can improve and how we can move forward. I'd like to know what the wider community of CF would like to see from Brython so we can take your thoughts on board as we move forwards. So I have some questions for you.
What would you like to see from Brython? Would you like more information available? Would you like us to be more open and, if so, in what ways?
Do you want to know more about who the members are and where you can meet with them or read their material?
Would you like to come along to our infrequent meetings?
If you have any thoughts or ideas on these questions or any other points please tell us.
Thanks.

Just so you know, I like the way more material is being posted on the Dun Brython site, and some discussions have been opened up to CF. I think it's a good idea of Lee's to have posted his (awesome) hymn to Ambactonos on the DB site as well as on his own blog.
In terms of what I would like to see from Brython, I think more hymns to the various gods would be lovely (don't know why, but I think a liturgy is important), more stories as people write/reinterpret them, I like the cosmological texts that have been appearing too.

What would you like to see from Brython? Suggestions for rituals? Not full blown word for word, but ideas for how the various occasions could be celebrated?

Sulis,
i think there is one Imbolc ritual on the site at the moment and i will be adding another couple soonish.
at present we dont really have a set ritual format we all use, the only current commonalities are the triple toast and 'focus' of the festivals. we tend to do things in our own way in a manner that works for each of us. there will be some developments on this front over the coming year as we work on ritual and seasonal festivals some more.

Hi Helen and thanks so much for posting your thoughts on Brython. I certainly find that very helpful.
You mention that you don't understand what I meant by asking "Would you like us to be more open?" What I meant by that question was that some might feel that we are being a bit secretive about some things and want us to be less so. There are a number of discussions that have taken, and still do take, place in private. From what you have written so far though it looks as if we may be getting the balance about right which is really good to know.

From what you have written so far though it looks as if we may be getting the balance about right which is really good to know. Just to clarify, I'm more than happy for discussions to take place in private, so long as the end results of the discussions (or the point at which they stalled) are shared with the rest of us. Which is what you've been doing, so thank you

Like others from Brython Helen, thank you for your comments.
As Potia has already posted, the 'open' bit is about sharing our brython project deveopments to the wider audience. The core values that you enjoyed evolved over a long period of both intense discussion and periods of reflection. This was all done privately amongst brython memebers & once everyone was satisfied with the final draft we opened it up as our 'core valuse' as a group.
There are several ideas & developments being discussed privately & the question was posed; Should we open thes up to the wider audience or not?

I can think of only one suggestion at the moment. On the Brython site, where you have the gods catergorized into functions, I'd like to see the same done with the goddesses. It would be nice to explore your insights on goddesses more in depth.

We had hoped to get that done but the main person behind that work has been unable to get back to that side of things for us. Such is life

It would seem quite a few of you are qualified to make the additions. Maybe the original author could give one of the other, highly experienced members, permission to finish the section. If the goddessed were broken down into functions, maybe soverignty goddesses, mother goddesses, war goddesses? Just my guess. I'm sure it will unfold in due time.
