Theres nothing like being a message board virgin! Oh well here goes... Cards on the table, not interested in any New Age Neo-Celtic Golden Bough stuff, just want to show respect and say thanks to my ancestors. I'm researching our family tree in Devon & Cheshire, also looking on the DNA side (R1B1c (Google it)). Will question everything, but am happy to hear what anyone has to say. Have never thought of myself as English or even Celtic but Briton sounds and feels right. I've got more to say but all in good time. Cheers and love to all.

Hi Fledgling Welcome to Caer Feddwyd. I would look forward to hearing more about your research on your families blood ties - particularly how you interpret it in terms of your relationship to your ancestors and this land, if you're comfortable with talking about that Blessings Stephen

Welcome Fledgling You won't find any "New Age Neo-Celtic Golden Bough stuff" here. Nor any faery-crystal-dragon-wicca neither That said what you will find is up to you. The more you ask the more we answer from what small amounts of wisdom each of us has garnered during our lives. Dive in, the water's cold and full of salmon...

Hi there I've got family over in NZ (hope to visit one day when I have the cash... and a passport...) so ancestry is something I'm interested in too - in that our lot never seem to have stayed anywhere for too long. Bit nomadic really, though nobody has been on the road in living memory now. But it's interesting, makes for a different relationship with the land - moving over it rather than settling in it...
