Looks like the spirit of Iolo Morgannwg lives on, but not his talent for unrecognisable forgery!

so I do some digging... turns out there is only one reference to it, on this guy's website, where he is "a bronze age god". So I confront him, and call him on it.. he says (as usual) that I need to stop following the propaganda of the masses and do some actual research! I smell Alan Wilson all over this...
so I play dumb, turns out it is taken from a reference in one of the Vitas (except, of course, he wont/can't tell me which one).
Annnyway... It wouldn't bother me, except for the fact he is planning on going into schools and teaching it. Think I'm going to have to get in touch with some peeps..

Yep, I know of this. Have a look at some place names on the slopes of Snowdon.

I see a Llyn Du'r Arddu. So what's that, Black Lake of the black hollow or somesuch?
And anyway, I don't see the connection between a lake (with Tylwyth Teg myths, good stuff in it's own right) in Snowdon and a Silurian War God called Ardduc (that I've never seen a reference to before or since). Am I missing something?

There are other places in the area similarly named. Arddu is a little known local deity, 'The Dark One', but that comes to me through spoken lore via traditional witchcraft. Make of that what you will in regards to a possible comparison to your Silurian.
