Sometimes, I want to blame it on youthful enthusiasm, not to pardon myself of responsibility for my actions, as we are always responsible for them, whether or not one wishes to take responsibility for said actions can be a different matter entirely. Often, ignorance is a consequence of youthful enthusiasm. I will not attempt to excuse any ignorance I exhibit, but apologize and learn from those mistakes and do everything in my power not to make those mistakes again.
I find, as is common when I research things that are of great interest to me, I have a habit of going a little wild with my conjectures. I get very emotionally involved in research when this is the case. Because of this, I tend to "jump the gun", so to speak.
I, have recently, made a mistake of posting a writing on the Cymric god Beli, in error, confusing him with the god of light, Belyn, or Belenos. I have left the writing up, as even mistakes should be left for scrutiny, viewable in the Bardic Chair section. Posted before my writing on Mabon. A god whom I believe I have a better understanding of.
I wanted to take this time to issue an apology. Although the mistake was not intentional, a mistake was made on my part nonetheless. I will work harder to hold myself to a higher standard of research before so blindly jumping to conjectures. I do have theories on certain gods and their places in the Brythonic pantheon as a whole. However, I feel that mixing up two gods, whom haven't much in common is an error that merits an apology.
I have spent a lot of time researching, and plan to spend much more time doing so. When new knowledge is imparted to me, I must make corrections to my preconceived notions. I feel it necessary to do so to avoid arrogantly defending known misinformation. I will continue to research, and if I make any statements that are absolutely false, please feel free to correct me. Thank you.
