Hiya everyone, hope you have all been well We talked fair while back about publishing the various hymns, stories and devotional work we had written up - now mostly on the Brython website. I have been hankering to do something similar to this again but much more focussed, and with some pushing from other sources, have been considering a 'Devotional for The Grey Mare'. With this though, put out a call for submissions on various websites for hymns, essays, art, prose, poetry and the like to the wider communities and so create and edited anthology dedicated to Her. If there is sufficient interest; get a Lulu printing run done - Lorna's book is from Lulu and is really good quality. The other thing though is that his should be not for profit. contributors get a free copy, but overall pricing covers costs and overheads such as a website. My time in editing and a bit of promo work is where some of the other 'devotional' work comes into it. So; what do you think? Would you be willing to submit some of your work? I already have an idea as to to structure based broadly on Herons Calan Mai and Calan Gaeaf Hymns to Rigantona Lee

There are three "Grey Mare Tails falls" in the UK. One in Conwy (which I think you visited with us whilst we were there?) and two in Dumfries. I have been to all three and have photos of all three if you would like to use any.

A tad over the top, but: www.greymarebooks.co.uk/the-grey-mare-on-the-hill.htmlIt would be a useful way of also publishing either physically or digitally a couple of other things I have had in mind Grey Mare tails falls would be great to include, along with the stories behind them

If you want to include the myth I wrote you could although that's been online at Brython for a while. Not sure if I have anything else that's appropriate and while I'd like to think I could manage to get something written realistically I'm not sure that I could. I'd happily pass the word of this round elsewhere though e.g. The Druid Network, Scottish Pagan Federation.

I was hoping you would say that the Myth would be perfect. I know the 'deadline' is may but if you let me know you are keen I will of course make sure your work is included. potentially it doesn't need to be sent off edited until almost the end of the year so you have 10 months or so and I would love it if you did contribute. I was also hoping you could spread the word at DN too

Lee, I saw your link to 'Grey Mare Publishing' on Rhyd Wildermuth's blog and wondered if you had mentioned here and my guess was correct. I think it's a great idea. Whilst I have never had a direct encounter with Rigantona I do have a connection with a white mare... and feel Rigantona may be present in my life as an absenting goddess. I actually wrote an article about this last year but didn't feel it was good enough to publish. I have continuing experiences of following horse paths and hoofprints. Perhaps this is a promot to investigate some of this further... if I have a definite intuition whether this will develop into something I can submit I will let you know. And yes, I really like the idea of structuring the book around Heron's two very powerful hymns. (With Heron's consent of course, Heron, I assume you're already involved? )

A great idea Lee. Certainly I'd be happy for my hymns to be used and would welcome the opportunity to think about writing something else.

No pressure on anyone, but any more thoughts on whether you might want to do an article or piece for this? What might also be nice, if you are interested , are photos of devotional space (even if mocked up for the photo), particularly for Calan Mai or Calan Gaeaf to pepper through the book. Although the 'deadline' for submissions is rapidly approaching, I am quite happy to wait a few more months for you folks as you are the core group for Epona Rigantona

Will also take some photos to see what they look like.

Hello Lee, I think I got a bit muddled. I thought Calan Mai was the time for declarations of intent to write something not for completed submissions!
I would certainly like to write something relating to horses, possibly about my relationship with my white mare as a guide with the working title 'Invisible Horse Paths' or something on horses of my dreams.
However I find during the writing process I often don't get where I'm expecting. So can only promise something not something definite. Would this be enough?
When would be your latest date for submission?
