OK, we've been on Dorset for a fair while, so it must be time to move on.
Personally, I know nothing about legend and lore in Wiltshire - so this should be a good learning curve!

It's the only proper county of course; all the others are just lame copies There's a site called 'wierd wiltshire' with a lot of ghost stories and some general folklore stuff-last time I wandered over there they had an interesting page on big cat sightings. I don't know a lot of folklore, myself, apart from a few urban legends and 'black dog' ghost stories

Well, I'm heading back to the Bronze Age for the Bank Holiday weekend, also for the weekend of September 9 & 10.
This is at Durrington Walls, under the aegis of Sheffield University and is a continuation of a dig which was featured on Time Team just before last Christmas.
The Age of Bronze group was set up by Brochfael, we did our first living history display there last year and we have been invited back for a repeat performance.
Cheers. Midori
