Greetings to all! Having just had my first Dreaming, marking me as following the path of the Warrior (why do these things always happen when you least expect them? Or in my case, never expected them!!), I'm interested in finding out as much as I can about Celtic myths, legends, etc.
I'm 19 years old, I live in York in the UK, I'm a historical re-enactor, bard, scribe, and full time student!
Oh, and thanks to Angharad for the link!
So Greetings to all from the Boar Warrior!

It sounds like you're living in interesting times at the moment It often seems to happen that we are suddenly *grabbed* and plunged into these strange experiences and events. Interesting that you mentioned 'dreaming' - have you read the Boudica books by Manda Scott? If not, have a go, I think you'll enjoy them. btw - I teach European martial arts for a living, so I'm quite involved with warrior stuff. We'll have to talk about it sometime

Hey, glad to see you here too ;D What period of reenactment do you do, by the way?
Blessings,

Yeah - I've just started to read them, actually! Reading Dreaming the Eagle at the minute.
I do Tudor re-enatment, and also SCA re-enactment, which covers 600 AD to 1600 AD.

I really enjoyed those books, aside from a few linguistic nitpicks - but then I'm a nitpicker by nature ;D I've read the Eagle and the Bull - and am looking forward to the next one.
I wasn't aware there were SCA groups in the UK - I know it's massive in America.

Thanks Blackwitch!
Yeah, the SCA's quite big over here too. Insulae Draconis is part of Drachenwald, which is the whole of Europe, and part of Africa. It reaches over to Egypt, and Australia.
I've just finished the Eagle, started the Bull, and bought the Hound!

I didn't know the third one was out! I'll have to save up me pocket money for that ;D
I enjoyed the Eagle more than the Bull. I thought the Eagle was more evocative, while the Bull was a bit meandering and I got a bit bored in the middle. Still looking forward to reading the next one though, I'm very interested to see how she writes about the Rebellion - and how she chooses to end it. Of course, Boudica just disappears from the pages of history, with some claiming that she took poison and others that she fled with her family, never to be seen again...
