I won't know until a bit nearer the time as it depends on my now estranged husband and whether he wants to take extra days with the children. He'll have them Saturday and Sunday anyway and he may want to take extra days with them, if he does it makes it easier for me to come down for longer.

so, re we making it the night of friday the 27th or from the morning of saturday the 28th? i can stay till the monday morning if there are others doing the same (hurrah for bank holidays!) Come as early as you can and stay as long as you want! I think it would probably be better if you could get here on the Friday, then we'll have a full day on Saturday. I'll have a few tents up - I guess probably down by the river again, but may be somewhere in the woods it depends on how the season moves (I'm a bit precious about the bluebells!) I'm sorry I'm still not contributing much I'm up to my eyes lambing at the moment, but lots of interesting topics going on giving me plenty to think about. For what it's worth if we do camp down by the river again I'll probably have 30+ very young ewes (last years lambs) down there that I tupped very late, and should be be due around the time you'll be here. It won't get in the way or take any of my time - they'll only be singles so very little chance I'll have to help them - and there's always a power to be felt around lambing that I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on (will everyone coming by train be bringing their own tent?) I know we have some topics planned for discussion and I think it would be very good if we can keep that pretty focused, but perhaps we could have a couple of walks as well in the style of Craig's rades? Let me know what you think, or if there's anything else you'd like to do or see. BTW does anyone want to get in touch with LR or Craig and see if we can persuade them to come along?

I shall volunteer our services for the lambing and any other work you have going at the time now, as I know Dylan would love to be involved. My partners parents have a smallholding in Wales and he loves looking after the animals and getting a good days work done and I quite miss farming myself I like the idea of some walks too. I have Facebook open now, so I'll drop Craig a message, a la Mrs Doyle

(will everyone coming by train be bringing their own tent?) I'll be coming by car and bringing a tent. I can come on Friday and stay until Monday if others are doing so. Some walks would be good. But I think we should put some time aside for discussion too.

I sent LR a text a few days ago mentioning the gathering plans as well as money matters but have had no reply.

We need to buy a new four man tent anyway, so if I pick one up in time for the gathering you can have the other "room" Lee

Sounds interesting... perhaps I'll do a day trip... As I forgot it completely in the Facebook message and I hate to break a promise .... You will, you will, you will, you will, you will, you will, you will, you will, you will. Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on. Ah, go on. Would you like a cup of tea Craig?

I'm going to be bringing some jewellery-making stuff and doing some beaded jewellery while we're there, so if anyone wants to join in making something for their partner/girl(s) do let me know and I'll make sure I bring something special that'll suit everyone

I'll be there with my own tent pitched a little way away from everyone else so you don't have to put up with the snoring. I'll aim to arrive sometime on the Friday. When are planning to disperse? Would anyone like me to prepare a talk on matters archaeological? I could do a basic intro to the Iron Age, British Prehistory in general or I could do something on the reburial issue.
Craig please do all you can to be there, it's been far too long since I've seen you. Also LR, please come if you possibly can, same applies.
I'll be counting down the days till the 27th

Was really hoping I might be able to come along and meet you all, but I've just checked mileage and train fares and I'm going to have to declare myself out this time around. Maybe next year I'll get to meet you all!

Just asked my boss if there might even be the slightest possibility of having that weekend off. He laughed in my face
